Testosterone, Cortisol and The Alpha Male(self.TheRedPill)

I have been a lurker for months, and have unknowingly been practicing many TRP principles for many years. Knowledge is power, it is in everyone of us to share. This is my first post which I am hoping will be helpful, especially to younger readers who are not in-tune with their body chemistry. This is a long post and is highly scientific and backed by years of research. As with most science – much of it can be debated and argued and in no instance can one shoe fit all so do not take anything at face value. For instance, when a study shows that “70% of participants showed a correlation between X and Y” that is right, you could be one of the 30% who don’t fit the bill – ultimately will conduct your own experiments to achieve the best results.

Intro:

The mind and the body work in great synergy and balance as one, a healthy mind makes for a healthy body, and a healthy body makes for a healthy mind. What defines a man’s body is Testosterone and Cortisol. Two essential hormones each serving a very specific and essential purpose. Your goal for healthy living should be to increase your free testosterone and decrease cortisol – I will explain how to do it and shed light on why what you may have discovered through observation and experience, can be explained by scientific facts. To keep it short, I will focus more on T levels, and much less on Cortisol. As a general rule – More T means less Cortisol, and More Cortisol means less T. They are on the opposite ends of a scale which needs to be tipped in your favor.

The Alpha Male

The words get thrown around a lot, actions are either Alpha or Beta, leader or follower. A noun often used as an adjective or a verb. ‘The alpha male’ means ‘The top male’. The word ‘male’ is easier to understand. Within mammals it is a species with the physical characteristics that occur as a result of prolonged exposure to testosterone. ‘Alpha’ is where things start to get more complex, the shallow explanation is that it is someone who is a leader, but there is much more to it.

What makes a man is his balls, as Scarface tells his old boss before he kills him “The only thing that gives orders, is balls” – this is power talk, translation: my balls are bigger than yours, I am the alpha here, not you. He does indeed overthrow him, take his empire and his woman as the prize. Life is not a dick measuring contest, it is a testosterone measuring contest – yet as a result of the latter, the former is also true.

Testosterone

As a white shark patrols the waters, something distinguishes from it’s next meals – lots of testosterone – the same chemical that rushes through the veins of Obama and Putin as they meet and try to establish dominance. What is testosterone? It is an Androgen created in the testes responsible for producing male characteristics. Why should it matter? Testosterone is life for humanity at it’s essence, it is reproduction, it is health, it is appearance, it is calmness, and it is frame.

Why Has a Change Occurred?

A species main purpose is to survive and reproduce – as the intelligent creatures that we are – we have exploited this basic fact to enhance our food gathering abilities, this happened at a price far too heavy for us to pay. Pesticides are chemically created to counter male parasite’s sex hormones and as result the species will fail to reproduce. We fuck with nature to grow more crop, then feed this very crop to our own childrensource source. Chickens and cows are ingested with female hormones to grow larger breasts, mature sooner and produce more milk source. The same hormones are passed to us when we consume the meat. Society has been emasculated not only through ideology, but through the food that has been fed to us for decades. Feminism is not the cause it is merely the symptom. There has been a steady decline in men's reproductive hormones observed and documented over the previous decades, this dates back since mid 20th centure link. But that’s not all that’s happened, women have also become less feminine due to the food that they have been fed – we are rapidly approaching a single unisex lacking duality due to the introduction of artificial hormones in our food as well as becoming prone to unhealthy less physical living as a result of enhanced technology. What we would like to believe as intelligent and more efficient living, is rapidly leading us to the extinction of our species.

Increasing Your T Levels

It all starts with the father as the mother already has an X chromosome. Your second chromosome, X or Y, is determined by your father’s sperm where studies show a correlation between high Testosterone and male off-springs. There is more to it, in addition to the Y chromosome received from the father, you are then exposed to months of Testosterone and Estrogen inside your mother’s womb, this shapes your genitals and your initial sexual characteristics. Fortunately for you as an adult male, there are steps you can take to increase your testosterone as your T-levels are not constant. Your T-levels fluctuate throughout the day with a general downward trend from morning until night. Most of your testosterone is produced during your sleep – which explains the ‘morning wood’ (essential part of living, if you’re not raising a tent every/almost-every morning that is a red flag that you are an unfit male and must increase your T levels) The days where you feel confident enough to give your big speech and change the world, where talking to anyone and moving a conversation feels easy – you are having a high T-day. The days where you are sluggish, can’t find it in you to go to the gym, and are seeking some sort of validation – those are your low T-days. Believe it or not – you have much more control over your T levels than you would have been led to believe – it takes healthy living, healthy eating, lifting, good sleep and a low stress lifestyle I recommend you read every last word.

Testosterone and Social Ranking

Numerous studies show a strong correlation in T levels, dominance, power, social ranking in boys as young as 13. Those tested with higher T-levels show more socially dominant behaviourstudy. This changes slightly into adulthood as a general decline in free T-levels (1-2%/year) occurs in men starting from the teenage years. In every social interaction with an exchange of power, a change occurs in your Cortisol (stress/defense hormone) as well as your T-levels (dominance/sexual prowess hormone.) This is so pronounced in some cases, that men have reported inability to have sexual relations with their wives after being scolded by a boss, or dominated by a peer. This phenomenon occurs in sports, gambling, an argument at the office, and all competitions with perceived winners and losers. Winners experience an increase in their T-levels, and losers experience a decrease in their T-levels. The inverse relationship between Testosterone and Cortisol dictates that winners experience lower stress levels, while losers experience higher stress levels.

While the text above is proven through studies, let us not confuse correlation with causation, there is more to it. The idea of winners and losers is highly complex based on countless factors, training, the rules of said competition and lastly the T-levels of the participants. Studies have shown that winning and losing correlated with the participants T-levels at the onset of the fight. Pre-match T-levels have been correlated with victory in competition as result of calmness, determination and more importantly faster reaction times. MMA fighters will tell you that fights are won during the stare down.

Having a strong frame can be rephrased to mean that external stimulus does not have an adverse affect on your hormone levels, whether T-levels or Cortisol. Ideally you should not seek an increase in T-levels from external stimulus as that can produced from within nor do you seek a decrease in Cortisol or stress through validation. The inverse is also true where you should manage external situation such that they do not negatively impact your T-levels, or induce a spike in Cortisol.

Testosterone is Something You Withstand

There are numerous reasons as to why TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) is not recommended for men with adequate levels of Testosterone. Too much of anything is a bad thing, and your body is well aware. Excess Testosterone is converted to Estrogen in males, the science is long and complex so to explain it simply – Testosterone is something you must withstand. At it’s essence, Testosterone feels much like rage - Your T-levels are determined by a metaphorical glass ceiling of how much Testosterone your body can withstand before it decides ‘I have had enough.’ – the body twitch uneasy feeling of rage that may have once conquered you, is the internal struggle of your body to deal with T-levels which are beyond your glass ceiling, this ceiling can be raised. If your body has been conditioned through hard conditions and strength training to squat low, and lift a boulder or 650lb’s of weight in an body shattering explosive motion 5 days a week, that grunt of desperation will signal to your body that you need more Testosterone to perform said task.

You can cheat on your balls with a needle, but the risk lies in that only your balls will know how much is too much before your bones start cracking and your joints fall apart – and like my father always said ‘you don’t use it you lose it.’

Testosterone and Sexual Selection

Women are caring and nurturing, men are providers and doers – this duality did not occur by accident but rather as a result of their primary respective hormones – Testosterone and Estrogen. Testosterone produces a selfish work ethic, and yields tangible results (babies) - sex-ed begins. All women are like that you say? Science agrees for interesting reasons. For men and women alike, the purpose is to survive and reproduce. Women do not want your offspring, they seek the best sperm from the highest Testosterone man in order to ensure that they produce a healthy, high testosterone offspring predisposed to success, survival and reproduction – welcome to natural selection. Natural selection is not a guessing game as nature has given us the tell-tale signs of high T-levels in men through behaviour, as well as appearance – the good news is that both can be improved (The same applies to women, the ones who are unfit to carry and nurture a child are perceived to be unattractive.)

So why AWALT?

1- In one study women were shown face pictures of different men on a screen and asked the women to rate the attractiveness of the men. Unknown to the women was that the pictures were digitally modified to demonstrate characteristics of high-T and low-T in men, where high-T is characterized by masculine features such as more pronounced jawlines and bigger foreheads, and low-T is characterized by more friendly child-like features.

Men's testosterone concentrations served as a proxy for genetic quality given evidence that this hormone signals immunocompetence, and men's scores on an interest in infants test were chosen as prima facie markers of paternal quality.

The results showed the attractiveness rating had little to do with the men, but rather in where the women were relative to their menstrual cycles. Women who were in the fertile stages of their cycle, where they were ready to conceive showed greater interest in men with high testosterone facial characteristics. Where women were in the infertile stages of their cycle showed greater interest in men with lower testosterone and friendlier facial characteristics.

This is because high testosterone (alpha) is associated with selfishness, making the male most fit to pass on his seed yet unfit to be a caring father.

2- Another study showed that men experience a surge of the female hormone Estrogen (beta) in anticipation of an off-spring. This allows for them to become a more caring father.

The two sides of this coin explain AF/BB and cucking is not a relatively new concept. Before modern civilization cucking was done through conquest and mass rape of women by invading tribes (think Vikings and Mongols.) In modern day, this is now done through easy accessibility provided by digital media and the social acceptance of it done behind closed doors.

Conclusion

This has been a long past, and lots of fun to share. As someone who started adult life as a construction worker, and went on to become a top lawyer in a major firm in a highly competitive environment I have found that whether it is monkeys hanging from trees, in the middle of the lions’ den or in a political debate – testosterone is king – our masculinity defines us and we embrace the competition. I have compiled this as a result of years of research and have not went back to re-link to articles and studies in a hasty effort to complete this post. If you would like to argue any of the points please do provide some counter evidence and I will be happy to engage in a discourse. I will most likely have to re-visit this a few times to fix the formatting. If you have made it this far, thank you for reading.

TL/DR

Male sexuality is important (Testosterone) and plays a major role in bodily, and mental health as well as success, sexual selection and social dominance. Take care of your balls through healthy living, lifting (HIT works best), but ultimately find where you stand, whether you need to improve and take control of your hormones to better your life

Isso vindo de alguém que näo sabe nem usar os pronomes pessoais corretamente... É cada coisa que eu tenho que agüentar...

Você está querendo dizer que eu näo estou fazendo bom uso de um fórum de musculacäo? De que eu näo aprendo e näo contribuo?

 

Usando essa metáfora do carro, é como se você tivesse um carro mas que o deixasse parado apenas exposto pois você, em um fórum de musculacäo, nada fala de treino nem de alimentacäo, nem de anabolizantes, nem de suplementos, nem de aparelhos, nem de fisiculturismo, nem de powerlifting... O QUE DIABOS VOCÊ FAZ AQUI?????????

 

Se mais pessoas como eu sairem do fórum e mais pessoas como você entrarem no fórum o fórum deixará de ser sobre musculacäo e passará a ser uma luta de egos onde apenas filosofia, sociologia e afins seräo discutidos... Que maravilha!!!

How would society be different if men were on TREN as often as women are on birth control?

I thought you were talking about classic Mad Max. Gas. Water. Tren. All vital resources.

First, there would be hoarding. Then, tack and feed stores would become strongholds. Cows would get their ears stolen and sold at a premium for unextracted pellets. Next, someone that was smart enough to hoard/steal chemists, caber, prami, etc. would have men roaming the street procuring food and women for resale. Finally, men would drink weaker men's blood for a cheap test/tren blend. Physique models would be very susceptible to roving gangs of blood-drinking rape hooligans resembling Greg Kovacs and Dave Crosland. Slow, methodical, lethal.

It would be a terrible reality. Thank Brodin we are few.

Sinto que o Ice foi um pouco egoísta ao sair do fórum e pedir que excluíssem a conta dele, tinha muita informação nos posts dele, muita mesmo, é a mesma coisa que o Twin quando parou de frequentar o fórum pedir para que excluíssem sua conta e fosse embora todo o conteúdo que ele já postou aqui, pensa o tanto de gente que já usou as coisas que ele passou.

Entendo o porquê do Ice ter saído. Enche o saco ver a desonestidade intelectual de alguns membros do fórum. 

 

Ex: você diz que compostos são fundamentais pra hipertrofia. Vem nego dizendo que você SÓ prega compounds. Você diz que determinado membro agregou bons conhecimentos ao espaço, e vem nego dizendo que você é "viúva" do cara.
